Esther Mae Votaw, 78, of Akron, passed away October 17, 2011. She was born January 12, 1933 in Cambridge, Ohio to the late Cy and Mary Young. Esther was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. She will always be remembered as a compassionate, loving mother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Votaw; and daughter, Edna Votaw. She will be deeply missed by her children, Donald Votaw and Linda Kallio; sister, Shirley (Carl) Stover; grandchildren, Jason (Christina) Kallio, Jeremy (Merrily) Kallio, Jesse (Tracy) Kallio, Rachel (Jeremy) Graves, and Tawny (Ryan) Gault; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Grace, Kate, Elise, Samantha, Wyatt, and Keelee; and close relatives and friends. Visitation will be Thursday October 20 from 10-12 followed by a 12 noon funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Pastor Jeff Wade officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
