Esther E. Reusch
Esther "Emma" Reusch, 85, went home to be with the Lord on September 28, 2007 after a lengthy illness. Emma was born in Akron, Ohio on August 10, 1922 to the late Richard & Rose While Wayman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; sisters, Maude Wayman and Margaret Holland; brother, Richard Wayman. She leaves behind her devoted son, Bill (Cheryl) Reusch; step-sons, Jack and Mark; grandson, Kiel Reusch; granddaughter, Michelle Flores; great-grandsons, Jacob and Kaleb. She will be sadly missed by her sisters, Irene Morgan and Dorothy Blair; nephews, Dick Blair, Jack Morgan, Gary Blair and Rick Wayman; nieces, Cheryl Venarge, Jill Pow, Kim Kasee and Tammy Stiles along with many great-nieces and nephews and their children. Emma worked as a hair dresser for many years. She then became the house mother at the Harvest Home at the Haven of Rest Mission, taking care of her girl and their children for several years. At age 57, she left Akron to be a missionary in Swaziland, Africa for two years. When she returned, she continued to care for those around her. She touched the lives of so many people with her kindness and selflessness, to help anyone in need. Her compassion for others identified her as who she was. She had a laugh that was contagious to all around her; a sense of humor that everyone who knew her loved; a very strong woman and the most wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. We all feel the pain of her loss but she left us with the most precious gift of all: HER STRONG LOVE FOR ALL OF US! The family thanks the staff at Bath Manor Nursing Home for their kindness and excellent care. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 - 6 p.m. and Monday from 2 - 4 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be conducted Monday at 4 p.m. with Pastor Doug Shoup officiating. Inurnment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Haven of Rest or Calvary Baptist Church. To leave a special message for the family online, visit www.NewcomerFamily.com
