Estill Jr Thomas

Estill Jr "Tommy" Thomas, 84, of Akron, passed away on April 26, 2013. He was born on November 4, 1928 to the late Estill D. and Corinne Thomas at Akron, Ohio. He was a proud retiree of Goodyear with 41 years of service and a member of the Goodyear 25 Year Club and the David Hill Breakfast Club. In the 50's, he owned his own business, hauling fuel oil and gasoline for Sinclair Oil. Jr enjoyed boating, fishing, riding his bike and, of course, spending time with his family. Dad was a hard worker, he would help anyone, was ornery and loved to have fun.

He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of over 61 years, Garnet M. Thomas of Akron, OH. Dear Father of Son, Jeff (Marie) Thomas of Kent, OH, Daughter, Alice (Mike) Dennis of Akron, OH, Son, Jim Thomas of Santa Monica, CA. Dear Grandfather of Allison and Kelsey Dennis and survived by numerous Nieces, Nephews and Relatives. Jr was preceded in death by his Parents, a Brother and four Sisters.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2013, 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, Ohio. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at 7:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Butch Pursley officiating.
