Ethel H. Lyons



Ethel H. Lyons, 90, passed away on January 21, 2008. She was born on October 7, 1917 in Perry, GA to the late Amory and Katherine Holley. Ethel was a member of Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church. She retired from Alside Inc. in 1997 after 19 years of service. Prior to that, she had been employed at General Tire. Ethel enjoyed flowers and sports, especially the Cleveland Indians. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, which she kept until the end. A special thanks is extended to her friends and staff at Manor Care, especially Tula and Loretta. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Willis A. Lyons; granddaughter Tara E. Lyons; and special friend Zack Gray. She is survived by her son Allan (Sheila) Lyons; and grandchildren Nathan and Brooke Lyons. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 26, at 12 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
