Ethel M. Stone, 80, passed away on December 25, 2009. She was a member of Goodyear Heights United Methodist Church. Ethel enjoyed spending time at the cabin on the Ohio River and snow and water skiing. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Dollie Stone; and her sister Helen Jean Coghan. Survivors include her beloved husband Claude, of 60 years; sons, James (Janet), Gerald (Taryn), and Jack (Sandi); grandchildren, Tomara, Brandy, Leah, Andrew, Kelly and Katie; great-grandchildren, Pierce, Fiona, Chase, and Phoebe; and dear friend Angie Phillips. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Goodyear Heights United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Goodyear Heights United Methodist Church,1690 Hillside Terrace, Akron, OH 44305.
