Ethel Jarvis-Stanley
Ethel "Emogene" Jarvis-Stanley, 79, passed away August 4, 2009. She was born in Nicholas County, WV and was a retired cook. Preceded in death by her husband, Joe; parents, Charles Spurgeon and Ruie Jarvis; sisters, Nora Steele and Martha Stuber; and brothers, Russell Jarvis and Eugene Jarvis. Ethel is survived by her sister, Betty (Conrad) Renner; brother, Charles S. (Nancy) Jarvis, Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; special great-niece, Heather; and her special companion, Maggie May, her faithful dog. A special thank you from the family to the Hospice Care Center and her home health care aids. Calling hours will be held Sunday, Aug. 9, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 10, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Ernie Kemppel officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
