Ethel V. Richards (nee Thorn), 78, passed away June 24, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She retired from K-Mart on Arlington Street after 25 years of service. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Philip W. Richards; parents, Ulysses and Ruth Thorn; and sisters, Margaret, Dorothy, and Evelyn. Ethel is survived by her children, Pamela Richards, and Paul (Pam) Richards; granddaughter, Shawna; and great-grandson, Christian. A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held Sunday, June 26, from 5 to 7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
