Eugene "Geno" Boland, 84, of Akron, passed away on January 2, 2024. He was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on October 31, 1939 to the late Eugene and Mary Boland.
Geno retired from Hamlin Newco (formerly Hamlin Steel Products) after 42 years of service. In his free time, he loved to go fishing, visit flea markets, and feed the neighborhood feral cats. For years he would spend Friday nights at Corky's Thomas Town in Akron with friends.
Geno led a quiet life but made lasting friendships and will be truly missed. He leaves behind his longtime friend, Sherry Dragich.
Per Geno's wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no formal services. A celebration of Geno's life will be held at a later date.
