Eugene D. Fink, 78, of Akron, Ohio passed onto eternal life on April 27, 2010. Eugene (Gene) was born on June 25, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio to Max and Viola Fink. Gene was the previous owner of Son's Harley-Davidson in Akron and was the owner of several other business entities. He was a 32nd degree Mason, member of the Akron Motorcycle Association, Craftsman Lakes Boating Club, Corvette Club and a member of the Tadmor Temple Shrine Parade Motorcycle Group. Gene was the loving father to children Darrell (Debra) of Oconomowoc, WI, Vaughn (Kathy) of Burton, OH, Craig (Judy) of Newburg, OH, Kurt (Lori) of Millsboro, DE, Dawn of Kennisaw, GA, Nikki (Scott) of Portage Lakes, OH, and Courtney of Brimfield, OH. He was a wonderful brother to his dear sister Joy (Doug) Norman of Akron, OH. Gene was a very active and fun Grandpa to 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Gene was preceded in death by his former wife, Rosemary; son, Vaughn; brother, Max, Jr.; father, Max, Sr.; and mother, Viola. There will be a visitation Friday, May 7 from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH. A memorial service for Gene will be held on Saturday, May 8 at 10 a.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home. Gene's farewell ride will be to the Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg immediately following services. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
