Eugene Gibson, 83, transitioned to his heavenly home on Thursday, April 7, 2016. Eugene was born on August 22,1932 in Bluefield , West Virginia to Cecil and Cassie Gibson. He was a caring family man who loved watching sports and spending time with his family. Eugene was a active member at Peoples Baptist Church where he served as a trustee for 23 faithful years. He was an US Army Veteran who served his country in the Korean War.
Eugene is preceded in death by his parents and 4 siblings.
He is survived by loving wife of 45 years, Jacqueline Gibson; daughter, Denise ( Ernie) Hutko; grandchildren; Alechia Miholer, Matthew Reisinger; great grand children, Allison and Andrew Miholer; siblings; Robert ( Mildred ), Walter, Tony; numerous nieces, nephews and friends who will miss Gene dearly.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Peoples Baptist Church, 525 Vernon Odom Blvd. Akron, Ohio. A funeral service will follow.
Internment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
