Eugene Louis Kibby

Eugene Louis Kibby, 96, passed away on December 18, 2023. He was born on November 6, 1927 the son of Charles and Bessie Kibby. Kibby proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp during WWII. He retired from Goodyear Tire after 40 years of dedicated service.
He enjoyed the outdoors, watching the wildlife and working in his yard. Kibby and his beloved wife Rosemary had a passion for remodeling homes. He enjoyed vacations with his family especially the trips to the beach. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, love in his heart and how he could brighten up a room with his smile and laughter.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Rosemary Kibby; daughter Charlene Kibby; and sister Marjorie Martin.
Kibby is survived by his loving family, his daughter Becky (Jim) Ferrell; son Gene (Laura) Kibby; grandchildren Brenda (Ken Horning) Ferrell, Mike (Julie) Ferrell, Kyle Kibby, and Holly Kibby; great-grandsons Dalton Ferrell and Ace Davis; niece Sandy Breyer; nephew John (Penny) Schiele; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held JANUARY 8th, 2024 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where services will be held at 1:00pm with Pastor Gary Smith officiating.
Interment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park.
