Eva Laubscher

Eva Laubscher, age 93, died April 27, 2011, after a brief illness. Born September 25, 1917 in Mogadore, OH to Nick and Petra Papic and spent most of her life in Springfield Township. She loved life, cooking, baking, and her family. She was always ready to tell a joke or listen to one. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Russell H. Laubscher; son, Russell J. "Tim" Laubscher; daughter, Bonita M. Hoare; granddaughter, Christine C. Laubscher; 5 sisters; and 3 brothers. She is survived by her son, Richard L. (LoRene) Laubscher; daughter, Rebecca S. (John) Williams; longtime friend, Jessie Hill; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters; and 1 brother. Calling hours will be Sunday, 12-2 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will take place Monday, 10 a.m. at Hillside Memorial Park.
