Evelyn Virginia Bumgarner Connolly, 93, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away November 30, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister and her husband Ira Connolly Jr. She is survived by her children, Lynne Connolly Gehr (Todd), Michael Connolly (Lynn) and 4 grandchildren; Meghan, Elizabeth, Taylor and Layne and 5 great grandchildren: Meriwether, Juliet, Elizabeth Evelyn, Reilly and Rhyan.
She was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia on April 13, 1927 and lived in Elizabeth, West Virginia until attending college at West Virginia University where she earned her social work degree. She then married Dr. Ira Connolly Jr. and resided in Parkersburg, WV and subsequently Belpre, Ohio where she raised her 2 children.
A memorial service will be planned for summer 2021.
