Evelyn Marie Hanlin

Evelyn Marie "Maxine" Hanlin, 92, of Atwater, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on April 14, 2019. She was born on June 29, 1926 in Akron, Ohio to the late Evelyn Lyons. She graduated from East High School. Evelyn was a devoted Christian and attended the Randolph Friendship Bible Church. She loved to garden and be outside, read, and do picture puzzles. Evelyn loved to be surrounded by her friends and family. She was a dedicated mother, volunteering her time as a cub scout leader and as a librarian over the years.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Lynda Goodrich, Bud (Debbie) Hanlin Jr., Alan (Kathy) Hanlin, Randy (Janelle) Hanlin, and Billie (Jerry) White; sister, Janice Lyons; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Grosvenor George Hanlin.

A memorial service will be held at the Friendship Bible Church, 1703 State Route 44, Randolph, Ohio 44265 on Saturday April 27, 2019 at 1:30pm. A celebration dinner will take place at 3:30pm at Randolph Town Hall 1639 OH-44, Atwater, OH 44201.

Pastor Bill Johnson will celebrate Evelyn's life.
