Today we say farewell to a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, a God fearing lady and a best friend. Evelyn M. Jones (Sayre) went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on May 11, 2020. Born on April 25, 1934 to parents Walter & Viola Sayre.
Meme loved her family and only wanted the best for everyone. She was our constant prayer warrior, she made sure to pray for all of us every day and night. She loved making crafts, painting, decorating her house on holidays, making food and spending time with her best friend/husband William. Meme loved to hear from all her grandchildren and kids anytime they would visit and call her. Meme had a green thumb when it came to her flower beds, she had lily's, daisy's, hydrangeas and whole bunch of other flowers. She loved feeding her birds; especially her hummingbirds during spring and summer. In her last hours we refused to give up on her because she never gave up on us. She fought for the longest time and when she passed she knew at that point her family would be protected and okay without her around. Meme loved when it was sunny and bright outside because she could go outside and enjoy herself on May 11 she was able to enjoy one last sunny day before it got dark.
Preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Teresa Haycock, Dorothy Steele, Walter Sayre, Gilbert Sayre and Alfred Sayre and Fur-Grandchild: Precious, Hershey.
