Everett S. "Bill" Cook, Jr.

Everett S. "Bill" Cook, Jr., went home to be with the Lord on February 15, 2005. He was born in Chapel, West Virginia on August 14, 1931. He married Janet (Spencer) Cook on October 29, 1960. He worked at the Ohio Brass Company for over 20 years and was a long-time member of the Akron Baptist Temple. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Ercelle, and by his brothers Victor and Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Janet; daughters, Sandy, Mary (Doug) Teter, Denise (Chris) Davidson, and Crystal (Kevin) Hoffman; son, Joshua; grandchildren, Benjammin, Emma, Lauren, James, Leannah, Victoria and Carla; sisters, Esther McLaughlin and Katy Burkhammer; many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Ernie Kemppel officiating. Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
