Everett "Ed" E. Feathers, Sr.
Everett Eugene Feathers, Sr , age 87, went home to be with the Lord on November 30, 2005. He was born in Albright, WV on April 23, 1918. He had been a resident of Northampton for over 60 years. As a young man he worked as a railroad fireman on the B&O Railroad in Keyser, WV. After coming to Ohio in 1940 , he formed a company (E.E. Feathers Construction) and built many houses in the Summit County area along with his sons. He was a member of The First Apostolic Church in Tallmadge. He loved his church and the church family. He worked hard all of his life and was active up until the last few months of his life. If his friends and family could describe him in just one word it would be "Generous". He was such a giving man who tried to take care of all of us. He gave us all so much. He is preceeded in death by his parents, Chester and Effie Feathers; brother, Jennings Feathers; sisters, Maxine Beatty and Eshter Howell Watson; daughters, Margarie Myer and Beverly Feathers; grandson, Danny Reeves. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patty; sons, Eugene Feathers(Carla) of Hudson, Cecil Feathers of Sacramento, CA, Charles Feathers (Jeanie) of Turlock, CA, Ed Feathers, Jr. (Penny) of Akron, Joseph Feathers (Diane) of Cuyahoga Falls; daughters, Roberta Teets (Don) of Newcomberstown, Diana Schreck of Cuyahoga Falls; brothers, Ivan Feathers (June) of Stow, Dana Feathers (Dathyl) of Apache Junction, AZ; sisters, Mazerna Kisner of Morgantown, WV, June Sanders of Seattle, WA, Betty Wellman of Richfield, Ina Mae Canfield (Dave) of Carlisle, PA; also 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Pappy you will be missed, but never forgotten by everyone who knew and loved you. family and friends may call on Monday, December 5, 2005 from 5-9 p.m. at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N Canton Rd, Akron The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at The First Apostolic Church, 199 South Avenue, Tallmadge, OH 44278.
