Exie Marion Carey

Exie Marion Carey, 94, passed away on February 22, 2012. Loving, precious mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. This marvelous, humble woman was truly instantly liked and eventually loved by all who knew her. Her energy, giving nature and courage was inspirational to her family and friends. Her love and dedication to her children was second only to her love and dedication to her Savior Jesus Christ. Mom will be missed beyond expression, but we are comforted knowing that by the grace of God, she died quickly and peacefully hearing words of love from her children. Preceded in death by her husband, William Gerald Carey and 1 granddaughter. Survivors include her children, Kathleen (Jesse) Cobb, William (Bonnie) Carey, Janice (Barry) Gowen, and Charles (Vivian) Carey; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; special friends, Ruthie and Betty. At mom's request, she will be cremated and at a later date to be announced, a praise memorial service will be held at The Community Church of Portage Lakes on April 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. A very special thank you and blessing for the awesome dedicated and caring staff, especially Diane and Mark, at Akron General Medical Center, seventh floor for caring so tenderly for mom and helping us through this sad time.
