F. Helena Burger

F. Helena Burger, 88, of Akron, passed away January 22, 2002 at St. Luke Lutheran Home. She was born July 14, 1913 in Rawlings MD to the late Edward & Katherine (Dawson) Lease and moved to Ohio in 1942. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Vance B. Burger; infant daughter Nancy Jean Burger; grandson Rusty Gorham; her siblings Ira Lease, Patience Harmon, Elwood Lease, Hayden Lease, Regina Harrison, Lawrence Lease. She is survived by her daughter Joanne (Bert) Hughes of Green; son Dr. Jerry R. Burger of Phoenix AZ; grandchildren Robert, Roxanne, Ray and Sheila Gorham, Tammy Garrett, Roger and Karen Gorham, Joseph and Anne Burger; great-grandchildren Brian, Kristin, Eric, Nicole, Ashley and Joshua. Friends may call Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral services and burial will be held on Saturday in Davis, WV. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Luke Lutheran Home, 220 Applegrove N.E., N. Canton OH 44720.
