Fern R. Wyant
Fern R. Wyant, 85, of Akron, passed away August 27, 2009. She was born February 5, 1924 in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. Fern was a talented seamstress and had a love of flowers and gardening. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. Fern was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; son, Bruce; and brothers, Robert and Jeremiah Smith. She is survived by her daughters, Sherry (Arden) Osborne and Amy (Mike) Robison; brother and sister, Jacob (Katherine) Smith and Mary Lou (Michael) Polinski; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 651 Newton St., Tallmadge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of VNS, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
