Ferne J Sturtz, 86 of Akron passed away February 18, 2006. Born in Castleman PA to the late Louis and Rebecca Kennell, also precded in death by her great grandson C.J. Sturtz and six sisters.
Survived by her husband of 64 years Carl; daughter Lorna Scarpitti of Akron; son Carl J Sturtz, II (Mary) of Tennessee; grand children Carl J Sturtz III (Tina), Albert Sturtz (Amanda), Maryanne Adams; great grandchildren Carl J Sturtz IV, Victoria, Hope, Robert and special friend / former son-in-law Tony Scarpitti.
Ferne loved to play cards as a past-time; she loved her church and her family. She also enjoyed the many places her and Carl would travel to in thier early years together.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Februrary 22 at the First Church of the Brethren, 1812 Marigold Ave Akron OH 44301 at 10:00 a.m. Family and Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME 131 N Canton Rd. on-line condolences can be made to www.newcomerfamily.com
