Fletcher L Molden Jr 62.
Fell asleep in death peacefully at home on 10/21/2021 with his wife Dorthea, who was by his side constantly during his illness. She was joined by a host of family members and friends who reached out for support.
Fletcher was born on April 7, 1959 with his twin brother Fredrick being born 7 minutes later. They are the sons of Fletcher, Sr. and Velma DeVaughn.
Fletcher worked for Sears Automotive at Eastwood Mall. In 1983 his career started at East Ohio Gas (Dominion), where he started there as a meter reader until he a retired as a Top Rated Engineering Technician in 2017.
For 32 years Fletcher (Fletch) shared his life with his wife Dorothea (Susie). Fletcher loved spending time with his family and friends. At gatherings the "twins" would get together and be the entertainment with their jokes and characters.
Fletch, being a man of many hats, was a lover of anything music. The Whispers being his number 1, followed by the Temptations and the Spinners (who when they were young the twins thought they were them). Fletch loved concerts, football and boxing.
He was a member of Jehovah witnesses most of his life. Moving towards the end of his journey he was encouraged by the love of Jehovah.
He was known to be very shy, but once you got to know him, he was very outgoing. Whether it be a reunion, tragedy or just a conversation in the garage he was always there or a phone call away. He was a kind gentle giving person who will be sorely missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Dorthea (Akron Ohio); two daughters, Carla DeVaughn Molden (Akron, Ohio) and Tonya Longmire (Virginia Beach Va); grandchildren, Dario Knotts Jr. (Cuyahoga Falls, Oh) Drake Knotts (Akron, Ohio) D'Shawn Wiley (Akron, Ohio) R'Quan Foster (Akron, Ohio) Aviana Foster (Akron, Ohio). He was Palpa to 6 great grandchildren, Kaelyn, Ariel, Nyra, Santana, Dakota and Michah; twin brother, Frederick L. (Tracy) Molden (Youngstown Ohio); sister, LaRhonda (Molden) Davis (Akron, Ohio); a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, special friends, good neighbors, co-workers and numerous friends that loved him and he loved them back.
In addition to his parents, Fletcher Sr. and Velma Molden, he was preceded in death by his brother, Earl Jerome Vining of Monroe, Michigan and grandsons, Markius Leon Longmire and Dai'yaan Qamar Longmire, both of Ohio.
The Molden family has entrusted the care of our beloved family member to Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The service will be Friday, October 29, 2021 at 12 noon at the funeral home, where family and friends are invited to visit from 11 a.m. until service time. Entombment will take place at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
