Florence A. Farmer, 76, of Ravenna, passed away June 22, 2011. Florence was born in Akron on February 2, 1935 to the late Raymond and Opal Yohe, Sr. She was a member of Brimfield Church of God. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, playing computer games, crossword puzzles, and going for drives. Above all, she loved spending time with her husband, son, and family pet, Cody. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 49 years, Robert "Bob" Farmer; son, Robert "Bob" Farmer, Jr.; sisters, Frances Tenney and Shirley Sparks' brother, Raymond Yohe, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Betty Kent and Myrtle Farmer; and many friends. Florence's family would like to thank their friends, family, and church family for all their love and support. Family and friends may call on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor James Walden officiating. Interment at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna.
