Florence Kaye Carnes

Florence Carnes passed away unexpectedly on February 4, 2024 at the age of 69. She was born to the late Kenneth and Rose Shepherd on August 16, 1954 in Akron, Ohio. She graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1972. After graduation, she attended St. Thomas School of Nursing where she became a Registered Nurse in 1988. She was a member of Cornerstone Free Methodist Church where she was loved by many.

She was preceded in death by her son, Andrew Carnes; husband, Glen Carnes; brother, Lloyd Shepherd; and brother-in-law, Mick Tyger.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Reid (Tiffany) Carnes; sisters, Rebecca (Joe) Hiner, Kenra Tyger, Roberta (Guy) Shemwell, and Pamela (Terry) Coleman; brothers, Ben (Jan), Ramizi (Kathy), John, Brad (Sue), Kelly and Toby (Theresa) Shepherd; grandchildren, Coral Carnes and Andy Carnes; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to Florence's Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 12pm at Cornerstone Church (2445 S. Arlington Rd. Akron, OH 44319).
