Florence G. Miller, 86, of Ravenna, passed away July 25, 2007 at Maple Wood Care Center in Streetsboro. She was born November 7, 1920 in Akron, Ohio to the late Charles & Dolly (Wright) Knox. Florence worked as a cashier for Skorman's Miracle Mart until retiring in 1977. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Miller; and sisters, Thelma Knox and Hazel Howell. She is survived by her daughters, Shirley N. (Robert,Sr.) Bird of Akron and Carol R. (David Sr.) Marsh of Ravenna; grandchildren, Linda, Brenda, Robert, David, Kathy and Dawnita; 9 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Friday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Evalee Pointer officiating,with one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
