Floyd "Poppy" E. Dice, 87, born January 4, 1924, went home to be with the lord and join his wife, Ruth, and son, Robert, on October 22, 2011 after many years of being apart.
Poppy was a life long resident of Akron, living in Springfield Twp. for over 60 years. He will be sadly missed by his children, daughter, Katherine (Terry) Fryberger of Akron; sons, Eddie (Connie) Dice of Green and Danny (Tina) Dice of Norton; Poppy's nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, October 25, from 4-8 PM and Wednesday, October 26 from 10-11 AM at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, funeral services will follow the Wednesday morning visitation with Pastor Jamie Fryberger officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Poppy's family.
