Floyd "Sonny" J. Lute

Floyd J. Lute, 83, of Akron, passed suddenly on April 3, 2021. His favorite thing was to be with family playing games and enjoying their love. He also enjoyed history, hiking, doing puzzles and telling stories. Floyd retired from the City of Akron and was a US Navy veteran.

Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, Aldophia and Margaret; son, Rodney Jay; and six siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Norma Jean; daughter, Peggy (Mark) Scott; son, Tim; grandchildren, Amber (Brandon) Harris, Edward (Kelsey) Scott and Brenden; great-grandchildren, Carter, Dylan, Emerson and Arden; and sister, Althea Childress.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am - 12:00pm on Thursday, April 8 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service to begin at 12:00pm. A private burial will take place later at Hillside Memorial Park in Akron.
