Floyd F. (Pat) Garrett, 72, passed away May 16, 2009. Floyd was born June 20, 1936 in Liverpool, West Virginia and lived most of his life in the Akron area. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; parents, William Donald and Rhoda (Nay) Garrett of Reedy, WV; brothers, Charles (Geraldine) Garrett of Reedy, WV and Earl (Harriet) Garrett of Norwalk, OH. He is survived by brothers, Donald Buddy (Bobby) Garrett of Ashville, OH, Ray (Erma) Garrett of Spencer, WV; sisters, Opal (Pete) Houchin of Ravenswood, WV, Hope (Carl) Bragg of Akron; sons, Scott (Sheila) Garrett of Akron, Mark (Char) Garrett of Akron; grandsons, Mark and Nick Garrett of Akron; great-grandsons, Christopher and Kyle; many nieces and nephews. Floyd was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Family and friends may call on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
