Frances "Kay" Corsaro passed away March 3, 2023. Kay was born November 7, 1951 in Greenbrier County, WV.
In November 1966, she and her family moved to Akron to be near the rest of her family. Preceding her in death is her Mom and Dad, Mary and Pete Corsaro and brother-in-law Larry Fraiya. She is survived by sisters Mary Fraiya and Theresa and brother-in-law Domenico Cornacchione; nieces Regina Fraiya, Fertel and Christina Cornacchione; nephews Peter Cornacchione and Robbie Fertel; great-nieces and great-nephews.
Upon graduating from North High School, Kay attended Hammel Business School, then spent the next 43 years working for the Akron Auto Club AAA.
Kay was very active in the Le Radici Italian Club and the Italian Center.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Wednesday, March 8th from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 9th at 11:00 a.m., with Father Michael Williamson officiating. Kay will be laid to rest privately at Wallace Memorial Cemetery in Clintonville, WV, next to her parents. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested in Kay's memory to Stewart's Caring Place, 3501 Ridge Park, Fairlawn, OH 44333, where they help people to navigate the difficult road called cancer.
