Frances M. George

Frances M. George, 81, passed away August 3, 2007. Frances was a graduate of West High School in Akron. She worked for Western Union in both Akron and New York City during WWII and the United States Postal Service where she was the former Postmaster in Lakemore Ohio. She was a member of the New Horizons Christian Church, NARFE, Circle of Light and the Rockin' Red Raspberries Red Hat Club. She is proceeded in death by her brother Roger Brinkman. She is survived by her husband, of 63 years, Edward George; sons Ronald George, Kevin (Karen) George; daughter Karen (Patrick) Burridge; grandchildren Brandon George, Sean Burridge, Cassandra George (Mike Hafer), Edward Burridge, Brian (Heather) George, Michelle (James) Myers, Andrew George; great grandson Colby; sister Rita (Joe) Volek of California. The family would like to thank Summa Hospice and Heather Knoll Nursing Home for all their help and kindness. A memorial service will be held Wednesday August 8 at 6 PM at the New Horizons Christian Church, 200 Darrow Rd, Akron. Inurnment will take place at the Hillside Memorial Park at a later date.
