Frances J. George, 87, of Akron, passed away August 22, 2008 at the Sterling House of Barberton. She was born March 18, 1921 in Akron, Ohio to the late Peter F. & Mary Nastasi. Frances was a member of the Mogadore Moose, VFW on Krumroy Rd., and the Army Navy on Massillon Rd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chris George in 2003. She is survived by her daughter Christine A. Norton (David Jones); grandson, Christopher Dietz; great-grandchildren, Alivia Dietz and Christopher Dietz, Jr. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Monday at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
