Frances Marie Mitchell

Frances Marie Mitchell, 92, passed away on December 30, 2017 at Pebble Creek Nursing Home. She was born February 14, 1925 in Akron, Ohio to late parents, Charles and Frances Karl. Fran retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber after 30+ years of service. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Malcolm, and 8 siblings. She is survived by her children, Terri Mitchell of Crystal River, FL, Alan (Mickey) Mitchell, and Gary (Cindy) Mitchell; grandchildren, Ryan, Spencer, Jodie, Allison, Megan; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am - 12:00pm on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service will begin at 12:00pm. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron, to follow. The family would like to thank the staff at Pebble Creek and ClearPath Hospice for the care Frances received.
