Frances E. Powell, 90, of Akron, passed away March 24, 2008. Frances was born March 4, 1918 to the late John and Viola Murray. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Powell and brothers, Walter and Donald Murray. She will be deeply missed by her sons, Donald, Carl, and Robert Powell; brother, Jack Murray; grandchildren, Donald, Michael, Garrison, Sunny, Jimmy, Sadie, Katie, and Ann Marie; and several great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. and Thursday from 1:30-2:30 p.m.at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m., Pastor Scott Campbell officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
