Frances R. Powell

Frances R. Powell, age 83, passed away on December 5, 2024, at home surrounded by family. She was born in New York on March 4, 1941, to the late William and Martha Reagan. She enjoyed spending time in Florida with her husband of 41 years, William Powell, who preceded her in death in 2001. Frances loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events. She was lovingly known as "Granny Franny" by her grandchildren, as well as "Aunt Weenie" by her family. Frances enjoyed watching hummingbirds in her yard. She was a caregiver for many of her family members. Frances was an avid reader who had totes full of books.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory daughter Denise (Richard "Yogi") Helmick; her bonus son Mike Grill; grandchildren Kassandra Myers, Toni (Roy) Boyes, and Jason Powell; great-grandchildren Hannah, Keyli, Lucas, Bailey, and Bentley; sister Monie Moore, and brother Mike (Carrie) Reagan; and her special niece Kandi Reagan; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Brian (Joyce) Powell, brother Bud Reagan, and sisters Pat (Carl) Hammons, and Marty Reagan. 

Funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:30-12:30 prior to the service. Following the service, interment will be at Hillside Memorial Park.
