Frances K. Schenz

Frances Kay Schenz, 79, passed away on September 1st, 2023. She was born on January 14th, 1944 the daughter of the late George and Canarsie Stinard of Akron, Ohio. She was a woman of great faith and was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Frances retired after many dedicated years from Green Local Schools as a school bus driver. She loved bowling, a game of scrabble and always enjoyed playing cards with family and her Card Club friends. You could usually find her watching her grandkids play sports or her beloved Guardians and Cavs. Frances will be remembered and missed by her family and friends for her loving heart, caring smile and her sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Gene Nichols and Kenny Nichols; and sister Bonnie Stinard.
Frances is survived by her High School sweetheart and loving husband of 55 years, T. Michael Schenz; sons David (Heidi) Schenz and Donald (Meghan) Schenz; grandchildren Abbie (Braun Miller) Swaino, Kendall Schenz, Brady Schenz, Austin Schenz, and Tyson Schenz; Sisters'-In-Law Wanda Nichols and Amy Nichols along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Transitions Health for the care they lovingly showed Fran in her final days.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 25th from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Newcomer FuneralHome (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where a Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm.
Private inurnment will be held at Hillside Memorial Park.
