Frances Smith, 78, passed away on March 31, 2010. She was born in Missouri on July 30, 1931, to the late Luther and Mary Freeman. Frances spent 30 years in the Retail Clerk's Association. She loved to travel to Florida, Kentucky Lake and Alabama. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther; sister, Mary Murray; and brothers, Charles and Russell. Survivors include sons, Robert (Cindy) and Ronald; sister, Betty Coleman; brothers, Jim and Tom (Peggy) Freeman; grandchildren, Robert and Timothy; 3 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends. Calling hours will be TODAY, 5-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Graveside service Saturday, 11 a.m. at East Liberty Cemetery.
