Francis E. "Buck" Towns, 83, passed away February 13, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. Buck was born in Catawba, WV, where he was a coal miner. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy for six years. Buck retired as a teamster from Lawson's Milk Co. He was an avid fisherman, and he loved to travel. Buck is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Fleida; children, Frank (Pamela) Towns, Steve (Donna) Towns, and Charlotte (Jim) Gowdy; grandchildren, Shelia, Shannan, Samuel, Aron, Trisha, and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Kari, and Graceyn; and sister, Marguerite Stottlemire. Cremation has already taken place.
