Francis B. Freas
Francis B. Freas, 66, passed away on May 8, 2007. He was born on October 16, 1940 in Akron to the late Blair and Kathryn Freas. Francis was a member of Community Baptist Church of Tallmadge. He proudly served in the Vietnam war with the US Air Force and retired from Summit County after over 30 years of service. He had been a long-time resident of Akron until moving to Florida in October of 2006. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death in 2003 by his first wife Nelda. Survivors include his wife Donna Marie; sons Brian (Adriane) and Christopher (Victoria); step-daughters Deanna Hohnhorst and Bonnita Powell; brother Randy (Shirley); and grandchildren Calvin, Lydia, Elizabeth, Hannah, Jesse, Jonah, and Jayson. Calling hours will be Sunday, 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. with Pastor Edward Peirce officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Kidney Fund. Online condolences may be made at www.Newcomerfamily.com.
