Francis D. Rick

Francis D. Rick, 89, of Akron, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. He was born to parents Frank A. and Louise Rick in Freeport, PA on August 21, 1931.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 67 years, Carol Rick; children, David Rick, and Theresa (Jack) Norris; grandchildren, Erick (Michelle) Norris, Jeremy Norris, and Jason (Katie) Norris; and 3 great-grandchildren, Ivan, Ella and Graham.

Francis was a member of St. Matthew Parish. He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran having served his country for 4 years. He would enjoy attending his grandsons sporting events and family functions. Francis loved fishing, bowling, and was known for telling lengthy, animated stories. He retired from Metro where he was employed as a scat bus driver for more than 25 years. He really enjoyed interacting with his passengers and anyone who would listen to him talk. He will be dearly missed.

Francis will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with full military honors at a later date.
