Francis "Farley" Juanita Santee

Francis "Farley" Juanita Santee, 86, of Springfield Twp., died on March 21, 2005 at Akron City Hospital. She was born August 2, 1918 in Spencer, West Virginia to the late Lafayette & Mary J. Currey. Farley was an avid bingo player, loved to play cards and work crossword puzzles. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and friend to all she would meet. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert "Jack" Santee; brothers, Don, Bill and Bob Currey; sisters, Georgia Lab and Helen Osborn. She is survived by her daughters, Janet (Gary) Iverson of Greenville SC, Debra (Jack) Hull of Uniontown; son, David (Vicky) Santee of Akron; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Elvenia DeVenture of Akron; very special friend, Norma Hughes. A memorial service will be held Thursday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. beginning at 3:00 p.m. Calling hours will be from 1:00 p.m. Thursday until the service begins. Cremation has already taken place. At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to the Springfield Township Fire Department.
