Frank Tyler Bell

On Saturday, September 15, 2018, Frank Tyler Bell, 83, passed away peacefully. His wife, Karen, was waiting to welcome him into Heaven.
Frank was born June 8, 1935 in Akron, Ohio and was the only child of the late Charles Tyler "Ty" and Marcadas Pearl (nee Smith) "Tillie" Bell.
Frank proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
He married Janet "Toot" Vaughn, and they were blessed with three children, Robert Tyler, Russell Howard, and Christina Ann. They later divorced. In 1977, he married Karen Sue (Booth) Huth and became step-dad to Ginger, Kimberly, and Jason. Frank and Karen raised their blended family in Mogadore, Ohio.
Frank worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 35 years and retired in 1997.
He served the community of Mogadore as a volunteer firefighter/EMT and reserve police officer for many years.
Frank will be remembered as a "Gentle Giant". His heart was huge, and he was willing to help anyone who needed it. His "Frankisms" and creative ways to use duct tape will never be forgotten. He enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and Atlantic City, trips to casinos, a good steak, his dog, Katie, but he'll be remembered most as a proud veteran, and a great Dad and Grandpa!
Frank was also preceded in death by his in-laws, Leonard and Edith (nee Murphy) Booth.
He is survived by his children, Rocky Bell, Rusty (Lisa) Bell, Tina (Jeff Serban) Sentelik, Ginger (Billy) Brake, Kim (Mark) Halliwill, and Jason (Cyndie) Huth. His legacy of love will continue through his grandchildren, Shawn and Stacy Bell, Jamie (Jeff) Tritt, Daniel and Lauren Sentelik, Delaney and Hennessy Brake, Preslie and Paige Halliwill, Bryce and Baylie Huth and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 20th at 6:00 PM where family and friends may call prior to the service from 4:00 - 6:00 PM, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where Dwayne Cummings will celebrate Frank's life. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Mogadore.
Romans 10:9-10, We love you and will miss you greatly, but we believe by faith that we will see you again!
