Frank "Chainsaw" Cameron, 80, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at his home in Akron, Ohio. He was born on June 13, 1933 in Akron, Ohio. Frank proudly served his country during the Korean War with the US Army. He retired as a truck driver for Roadway and P.I.E. and belonged to the Teamsters Local 24. Frank served as a council member for Lakemore Village and was a member of Springfield Fellowship Church.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty Cameron, father-in-law, Robert Cromer, children, Bob (Cindy) Cameron and Beth (Glenn) Smith, grandchildren; Marie (Chris) Knight, Hasti Moffett, Mashall (Harold) Fronek, Crystal (Ben) Bennett, Tamra Lucas, Alexandra and Amanda Smith, Randy Cameron, 7 great grandchildren, many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Friends may call 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, August 2, 2013 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., following visitation, at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens in Canton, Ohio.
