Frank Domany, Jr. "Uncle Frankie"

Frank Domany, Jr., 86, of Akron, passed away May 22, 2008 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born September 2, 1921 in Akron, Ohio to the late Frank & Theresa Domany, Sr. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Pacific with unit 592 J.A.S.C.O. Frank was an artist and story teller extraordinaire with a great sense of humor. Although Frank wasnt big in stature, he had a huge heart and was helpful to anyone and everyone. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Reba Domany, his sweetheart and his Princess Jo; first wife, Suzy Domany; brother, William Domany and sister, Margaret Rudy. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas & Dori Domany; grandchildren, James White and Melodie (Jeff) Laird; nephew, Robert Domany and niece Patricia Cargill and many other nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rick Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
