Frank Ferrise
Frank Ferrise, 73, passed away unexpectedly on April 18, 2006. Born in Akron, Ohio on April 13, 1933, he resided in Akron for all of his life. Frank was a veteran of the US Navy and served in the Korean War. Preceded in death by his parents Salvatore and Antonia; siblings Isabel Walker, John Ferrise, Mary Tillett, Albert Ferrise, and Rosario Ferrise. He is survived by wife Jenny of 46 years; children Teresa (Jody), Tony (Marisa), and Joanne; grandchildren Franky and Sal; step-grandchildren Brittaney and Joel; siblings Theresa Disbrow, Katherine (Art) Gruber, Sam (Jennie) Ferrise, Antonio Ferrise, Virginia Yocono, Patricia (Mike) Patrino, Jean Sargon, and Marianne (Tom) Lammers; sisters-in-law Mollie Ferrise and Rose Ferrise; aunt Pauline Sandora of West Viginia; many nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Frank founded Ferrise Excavating nearly 37 years ago and retired the company over to his son Tony eight years ago, which is now Ferrise and Son Excavating. Working was a great joy in his life. He was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need. Frank was a generous, kind, and compassionate friend to many. He loved his pets and spending time with his grandchildren. His genuine character and keen sense of humor will be a great loss. A beautiful life that came to an end, he died as he lived, everyone's friend.
