On September 16, 1943 the world welcomed Frank Douglas Hilton Jr. Frank, aka "Red" as those that knew him called him, joined the Air Force at 16 years of age where he became a diver and an MP. He traveled all over the world and even guarded president Kennedy's plane in a trip to Panama. He talked about going through survival training in the jungles of South America and all the amazing ways to eat bugs. He then went on to work as a dock worker, proud to be a Teamster and instilling the values of hard work in his children and grandchildren. He loved being a grandfather and great grandfather, playing dress up and having tea parties.
Our dad was bigger than life with a big booming voice and laugh to match. He had no problems making friends and welcoming new people to the family.
On March 5, 2021 Frank was called home unexpectedly.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, brother, oldest daughter (Marie), and oldest granddaughter (Tara). He leaves behind his wife Millie of 54 years, son Frank, daughter Charlotte, 4 grandchildren - Gabrielle (Ryan), Angelina (Aaron), Leo, Isabelle (Joe) and 3 great grandchildren, along with 2 sisters Sandy and Patty Ann and countless cousins and friends.
