Frank Williams

June 9, 1930 — January 7, 2024

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of my dad, Frank "Shug" Williams, who passed away on January 7, 2024-born, June 9, 1930, in Montgomery "Pike Road" Alabama. Frank served in the United States Army, "Korean War" in 1953 as a Med Tec. Frank lived a life filled with love and affection for his family and friends.

Known affectionately as Shug by many, he was a strong presence and character in all our lives, and he will be deeply missed. Despite his reputation as the Shug, Frank appreciated the simpler pleasures in life and cherished moments spent with loved ones.

Frank is predeceased by his doting wife, Ginny Hill- Williams, ex-wife, Idessa Williams, his much-adored Grandmother, Mary "Big Mama" Barnett, and his loving Mother, Margret Barnett, Father, Gus Williams, and cousin (sister) Jessie Mae Blackmon. Their memories are engraved deep within our hearts, and we find comfort in knowing that Frank now reunites with them.

He is survived by his Children, sons, Trimaine (Nancy) Williams, Juan Williams, daughters, McQuetta Williams, Edith (Charles) Bowan, Lisa Roberts, LaWanda Reynolds, and his devoted stepchildren, Lois (Otis) McCollum, Diane (Curtis) Howard, Cousin, Jimmy Lee Harmon, and a host of grandchildren, great- grandchildren, cousins, family, and friends. His spirit will continue to live on through them, and every moment will be a tribute to his enduring love and legacy.

Our hearts are heavy today as we bid farewell to Frank, AKA Shug, but we choose to remember him in his prime - full of life, love, and a fighter spirit. As we navigate this difficult time, we draw strength from the beautiful memories he left us and his remarkable life.

Special thanks and appreciation for his care to the staff at Spencer Knoll Rehabilitation, thank you.
