Franklin Richard Sabo, "Frank", age 88, of Akron, Ohio, died on February 2, 2021 at Akron General Hospital.
He was born on November 3, 1932 in Akron, the son of the late James and Carrie (nee Sench) Sabo.
Frank was an honorably discharged US Navy Veteran of the Korean War.
After the service, Frank was set up on a blind date on New Years Eve of 1956 with the love of his life, the former Patricia Morris, whom he married on June 15, 1957.
From that marriage came three children, Craig Sabo, Shaunna (John) Fanady and Kevin Sabo; five grandchildren, Justin Fanady, Daniel Sabo, Marissa Fanady, Derek Sabo and Rachael Fanady.
Also surviving is one sister, Pat (Steve) Flock; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that mourn Frank's life; and his beloved little beagle, Skipper.
Other than his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Judy Sabo; and his siblings, James, Theodore, Peter and John Sabo and Mary Kariotis, Connie Warner, Jackie Doyle, JoAnn McCurry and Betty Jean Rowles, and two that were infants.
Frank worked at Sears Roebuck and Company, retiring after 27 years and then went on to retire from United Dental Labs after 20 years.
He was an avid Cleveland sports fan and loved to fish.
Family and friends may visit from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron.

Funeral services will be private on Wednesday and Frank's life will be celebrated by Pastor Joe Burkhardt.
Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron.
