Franklin Winston Wilson Sr., 78, of Akron, passed away on December 1, 2020. Frankie was born on May 1, 1942 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Cirles and Margaret Wilson. Frankie proudly served in the U.S.Army. After his honorable discharge, Frankie raised his family in Akron and worked as a builder at McNeil Machinery and Goodyear Aerospace. Frankie loved playing poker with his sisters and visiting casinos. He had a firm faith in the Lord and attended the First Church of God in Tallmadge. In addition to his parents, Frankie was preceded in death by his brothers, Terrill and Jackie Wilson and brother-in-law, Albert Marsh. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Judy Wilson; children, Franklin Wilson Jr. and Allison Wilson; sisters, Elizabeth "Jolene" Morris, Shelly (Ronnie) Whyde, Sheila Cross, and Barbara (Jim) Ault; sister-in-law, Joyce; five grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Per Frankie's wishes, there will be no services and he will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
