Franklyn A. Etter, 90, passed away September 8, 2009. He was born September 6, 1919 in Lakemore, Ohio. Franklyn served in the U.S. Army and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after many years as a letter carrier. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wester and Lulu Watson and brothers, Forrest, Web, Donald, and Joel Etter. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Evelyn; son, Richard (Joann) Etter; daughters, Barbara (Mike) Collins, Jan (Richard) Miller, and Elaine (Bobby) Olan; stepdaughter, Donna (Denny) Neman; brother, Cliff (Helen) Etter; and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at The Village at St. Edward for all the love and care given to Franklyn. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. at The Village at St. Edward, 3131 Smith Rd., Fairlawn, OH 44333. A wake will be held Saturday afternoon from 2-6 p.m. at the home of Jan and Dick Miller. Please contact family members for directions. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Village at St. Edward.
