Fred K. Johnson
On March 13, 2007, Fred K. Johnson, 62, succumbed to injuries sustained in a house fire on October 29, 2006. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas W. Johnson; brother, Thomas R. Johnson; daughter, Marcee F. Kalil; and son-in-law, Joseph P. Kalil. He is survived by his mother, Mildred Johnson of St. Marys, OH; daughter, Mollie Johnson of Tennessee; son, Mike Johnson, of Uniontown, OH; brother, Bill Johnson of St. Marys, OH; grandchildren, Zach Kalil, Adam Kalil, Camden Johnson, Lauren Kalil, Jarrett Johnson, and LeeAnna Johnson. Fred retired in February 2006 after 37 years of service with Aircraft Breaking Systems. He was active in the UAW Local 856. Many, many thanks to the untold number of family, close friends, and community who have been so supportive and helpful. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 17 at 12 p.m. at Allenside Presbyterian Church, 410 Rexford St., Akron, OH 44314 with Pastor Pete Macauley officiating. Following the service, bring your stories and memories to share during fellowship to celebrate Fred's life.
